Simon Roche is a Product Design Director who builds products and design systems in education and tech. Separately, he designs cultural-related projects under the agency Bureau. Through Bureau he brings thoughtful, engaging and enduring work to life in editorial, branding, wayfinding and promotional design, leaning on classic approaches to both design and visual understanding.
Simon has worked in many fields in the last 20+ years as a designer, and produced work for international clients from Denmark to Australia, as well as many Irish businesses through cultural work, branding and editorial design.
Simon has worked in many fields in the last 20+ years as a designer, and produced work for international clients from Denmark to Australia, as well as many Irish businesses through cultural work, branding and editorial design.
He has, most recently, spent over seven years with publisher HMH. There he led the digital product and print design of large-scale, 50-state core curriculum programs for all ages of American school children. In 2008 he won the Periodical Publishers Association of Ireland 'Best Irish Designer' award for his work with State Magazine, and has also been recognised with five entries in the 100 Archive.
He travels purely to take photographs and definitely doesn't do it for Mediterranean food, bountiful local wines and plunging into a warm sea when the sun has got its hat on.
