GAA Championship Campaign
I was hired by the agency Brando to create a campaign for the biggest annual sporting events in Ireland each year, the GAA Gaelic football and hurling championships. They had just lost a major sponsor so we had to work to a significantly reduced budget while trying to encourage people to be a part of the games by attending. These two factors fed into a rawer, perhaps more energised design. I created the imagery from existing game photographs and painted the lettering in my studio. As a follower of these championships since the age of four it was a dream to see them on billboards and lamp posts all around the city before, and during the games.
