In almost seven years in US educational publisher HMH, my design direction of the Into Literature syllabus was the most challenging and rewarding. A vital corporate flagship product, we reinvented the way it was constructed instructionally and we also brought simplicity and engagement to both the digital and print elements. Covers and unit openers were illustrated for us by artists all over the globe. Careful planning of book styles meant there was a seamless connection from print to digital. Typographic and colour detailing meant navigating and using either the print or digital version of the product was clear, as well as inviting.
